Bombshell: Comey says there were “hundreds of thousands” of Hillary emails on perv Anthony Weiner’s laptop, but watchdog group was told only “72,000” existed

To say that the interview fired FBI Director James Comey did with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos on Sunday contained no bombshells turns out to be factually incorrect after all.

Anyone who watched — and it certainly wasn’t the number the network hoped for — saw the interviewer toss softball questions galore while failing to press Comey for answers about issues that would have been truly groundbreaking, such as why he never verified the infamous “Trump dossier” the bureau used to get spy warrants on Trump campaign members and whether Hillary Clinton broke laws when she destroyed top secret and classified information requested by investigators and Congress.

But during the interview, Comey let a detail slip that doesn’t match previously published information and it could mean yet another layer has been peeled back from the giant scandal onion that was the Obama regime.

During the interview Stephanopoulos and Comey began discussing what made the former FBI director re-open the Hillary email probe just days before the November 2016 election; reporting at the time noted that the probe had to do with the FBI finding Clinton-related emails on a laptop belonging to serial perv and former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, then-husband to top Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

According to a transcript of the interview from ABC News, Comey at one point in the exchange said that there were “hundreds of thousands” of emails found on the Weiner laptop.

“Yeah, more than several thousand, hundreds of thousands on Anthony Weiner’s laptop,” he said.

That doesn’t match the information given to legal watchdog nonprofit Judicial Watch last year, according to the group’s president, Tom Fitton.

As reported by The Gateway Pundit, Fitton noted that his organization was told that only about 72,000 emails were discovered on the Weiner laptop. In a January press release, the organization noted:

Last year, the FBI uncovered 72,000 pages of documents Clinton attempted to delete or did not otherwise disclose. The State Department had been processing the documents at a rate that would have required Judicial Watch and the American people to wait until at least 2020 to see all the releasable Clinton material.

Prior to the FBI investigation, Clinton repeatedly stated that the 55,000 pages of documents she turned over to the State Department in December 2014 included all of her work-related emails.  In response to a court order in another Judicial Watch case, she declared under penalty of perjury that she had “directed that all my emails on clintonemail.com in my custody that were or are potentially federal records be provided to the Department of State, and on information and belief, this has been done.”

The Comey disclosure prompted Fitton to remark, via tweet: “So Comey says “hundreds of thousands” of Clinton emails on Weiner laptop.  This is news to @JudicialWatch–we were told 72,000 pages of documents. Have we been lied to again by State and FBI?” (Related: Bombshell IG report reveals FBI to be corrupt, treasonous and criminal in its outrageous cover-ups of Clinton crimes.)

There’s more.

As The National Sentinel reported in December, additional classified emails were discovered among those being examined (at the time) on the Weiner laptop.

“At least five emails that were determined to be classified were found among some 2,800 documents stored on a laptop belonging to former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York, whose then-wife Huma Abedin was a top aide to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton” according to Judicial Watch at the time.

The emails dated from 2010, 2011 and 2012 and pertained to discussions with Middle East leaders including some from Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Hamas and the Palestinian Authority.

It should be obvious by now that the corruption was so pervasive throughout President Obama’s FBI and Justice Department that the cover-ups are unraveling at a faster pace as the lies become harder to replicate.
