Did former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe deliberately DELAY probing new classified Clinton emails found weeks before 2016 election?

The more that fair-minded Americans learn about the activities and behavior of certain FBI and Justice Department officials who were obviously aligned against President Donald J. Trump during the 2016 election, the more they begin to believe there really are two sets of rules: One set for “us” and one set for “them,” with ‘them’ being the Deep State elite.

One of them, apparently, is former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe; he was removed from his post on Monday after his boss, FBI Director Christopher Wray, reportedly went to Capitol Hill the day before to read a classified House Intelligence Committee memorandum that may detail abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court by McCabe and other FBI officials.

As Newstarget reported on Wednesday, it’s also possible that McCabe took actions in the weeks immediately before the November 2016 election to protect Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

According to additional reporting, McCabe was informed in late September or early October that FBI agents involved in a separate investigation into former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, then-husband of top Hillary aide Huma Abedin, discovered additional classified emails belonging to or originating from the Democratic nominee on Weiner’s laptop.

As the Washington Post noted further:

The Justice Department’s inspector general has been focused for months on why Andrew McCabe, as the No. 2 official at the FBI, appeared not to act for about three weeks on a request to examine a batch of Hillary Clinton-related emails found in the latter stages of the 2016 election campaign, according to people familiar with the matter.

The inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, has been asking witnesses why FBI leadership seemed unwilling to move forward on the examination of emails found on the laptop of former congressman Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) until late October — about three weeks after first being alerted to the issue, according to these people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter.

By slowing down or slow-walking a new probe into those emails, McCabe could serve as the gatekeeper against information that could prove damaging to Hillary’s election chances, as the Post further noted: “A key question of the internal investigation is whether McCabe or anyone else at the FBI wanted to avoid taking action on the laptop findings until after the Nov. 8 election, these people said. It is unclear whether the inspector general has reached any conclusions on that point.”

You may recall that in the weeks before the election, it was none other than McCabe’s boss at the time, James Comey, who actually announced that the bureau was looking into additional classified emails tied to Hillary Clinton just 11 days before the November 2016 election, a decision he would later defend. A week later the FBI would close the investigation, announcing that no wrongdoing had been found.

Was Comey referencing the Weiner laptop emails? We don’t know. (Related: Deep State unraveling as FBI deputy director McCabe resigns amid “insurance policy” scandal: #ReleaseTheMemo.)

What we do know is that just days before the election, as Natural News reported, the FBI wasn’t permitted to examine the Weiner laptop due to immunity deals the bureau passed out to just about everyone involved in helping Hillary Clinton violate the Espionage Act — and that included Huma Abedin.

As reported by The Wall Street Journal at the time, investigators discovered 650,000 emails on a laptop “that they believe was used” by Weiner and Abedin, with “underlying metadata” suggesting that “thousands of those messages could have been sent to or from” Clinton’s private server.

Those emails had to be the ones that Comey was referencing. The immunity deal also explains why no charges were filed and the probe was closed just a week later.

As for McCabe, he was right in the middle of all of this; as the Post noted, he was notified weeks in advance of the existence of the Weiner laptop emails.

But he didn’t act on them, at least, not quickly. The question is, why not?
